Portella Industries, founded in 1999, is one of the most preeminent steel door and window manufacturers today. Headquartered in Austin, TX, the company was founded by Marti Medina. After seeing steel windows on a trip to Europe, Marti was certain she had to use them on a custom home she was building. Unable to find any suppliers, she decided to design and build her own. People would ring her doorbell and ask where she had sourced them, she knew then that this could be something great.

With just over 60 employees, between their fabrication facility and two Texas locations, Portella continually strives to improve their products.

Portella recently completed NFRC ratings, and they are currently undergoing hurricane impact certification testing.
